The left edge slightly contacts my bull barrel and appears to be very slightly warped. The foregrip bends when it is sitting on a rest under the weight of my only 16" barrel; I imagine it does or would contact mine or a longer/heavier barrel. I can push the flimsy forgrip into the barrel with minimal hand strength. The other issue is it doesn't come with mounting screws. I had to order mine from Savage, whom told me to find out the length needed for the thickness of the stock, which Hogue didn't know. It cost another $13 and 2 weeks to finally get the correct screws because Hogue didn't know what their own product needed (and weren't friendly about it). They thought the action determines the screw length and not the stock, so their customer service was idiotic. Those are my only real complaints. I would have prefered a less horizontal grip, but I saw the picture and knew what to expect, so that's not their fault. I also would have prefered real aluminum bedding and not only pillar bedding, but again, I knew what it had when I ordered. For the price, I didn't expect much anyway. Overall, it's a really great fit on the action. Everything seems snug. I'm not sure I would recommend buying one unless you want to be ready with a razorblade to straighten the barrel well if there's any contact and some fiberglass resin to stiffen up the foreend. This stock ends up costing closer to $135 after screws and resin, so it's not bad if you're on a budget.
